A Princeton graduate with an EdM in Teaching and Curriculum from Harvard University, Doug Roberts has spent nearly two decades at the intersection of public education and innovation. A former high school social studies teacher and EdTech executive, Doug founded the Institute for Education Innovation (IEI) in 2018 to bridge the gap between school district leaders and the entrepreneurs building solutions for them.
Today IEI is a national network of 100+ superintendent members, hosting summits and retreats across the country and supporting the next generation of district leaders through IEI:Lead. Doug also created the Supes' Choice Awards — the only EdTech awards judged exclusively by superintendents. With 47 years in public education — as a teacher, campus leader, and longtime superintendent on Long Island — Hank Grishman brings rare depth to every advisory engagement.
